Woodgate: Lay Off Ghaly
Tottenham defender Jonathan Woodgate has urged fans to forgive Hossam Ghaly for his infamous shirtthrowing incident in May 2007. Ghaly had been set to make his Spurs comeback against Wigan last Friday in the FA Cup, only to be booed by the White Hart Lane faithful as he prepared to come on. Chelsea Are Lacking Confidence, Admits Scolari
Luiz Felipe Scolari has blamed Chelsea's stuttering form as down to a lack of confidence. Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has revealed he feels his side are lacking confidence, particularly in front of goal, but has denied he needs to buy a striker. For the second week in succession, the Blues conceded a last minute equaliser against Southend United in the FA Cup yesterday, and the Stamford Bridge side have now drawn four of their last five games. Saturday's draw was particularly galling, coming as it did against League One opposition, and Scolari confessed that confidence was a problem. "We need to follow the same ideas - train, train, train," Scolari said to Setanta.com. "I don't need another striker. I have a good squad, good players. "Maybe it is confidence when they arrive in front of goal, maybe pressure. They need to score more goals and get more confidence. Only this." Chelsea missed several chances in the game with Didier Drogba in particular guilty of failing to add to the lead handed to them by Saloman Kalou.
